The Best Index Funds/ETFs For Investing (Long-term)

Updated: Dec 17, 2020

Before I get into the list of what I believe are some great Index Funds and ETFs, please do your own research before purchasing.

ARKK (ARK Inovation ETF)

ARK Invest has an ETF that "disrupts innovation" with some of its top holdings including Tesla, Roku, Square Inc., and Proto Labs.

ARKK focuses on the development of technology and where they believe the future will go including genomes and "next-generation internet".

BOTZ (Robotics and Artificial Intelligence ETF)

The Global X Robotics & Artificial Intelligence ETF (BOTZ) invests in companies heavily involved in increased adoption and utilization of robotics and artifical intelligence (AI). This ETF is great because it's predicting where our economy and society will go in the future.

The top holdings include NVIDIA, Brooks Automation, FANUC, and Inuitivie Surgical Inc.

DRIV (Autonomous & Electric Vehicles ETF)

The Global X Autonomous & Electric Vehicles ETF (DRIV) invests in companies involved in the development of autonomous vehicle technology, electric vehicles (EVs) and EV components.

I like this ETF because it focuses on electric vehicles and it's components. Eventually, we will see a word where we are only driving electric cars and gas power vehicles will be obsolete.

Companies included in this ETF are Tesla, Qualcomm, Apple, NVIDIA, and Alphabet.

SPY (SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust)

SPY is an exchange-traded fund that owns all the stocsk in the Standard & Poor's 500 Index. The S&P tracks the top 500 companies so when you buy SPY, you're owning a portion of these companies and diversifying your portfolio.

The top holdings include Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, & Berkshire Hathway.

VOO (Vanguard 500 Index Fund ETF)

VOO is also a safe and easy way to invest your money. VOO also invests in stocks in the S&P 500 Index.

  • VOO is a popular and reputable fund based on a major market index

  • High daily trading volumes

  • Low risk investment

VTI (Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund)

VTI seeks to track the performance of the Total Market Index which includes Large, Mid, and Small-cap across the market. VTI is a balanced fund with a low expense ratio.
